This part is used on the Cassese 939 to support the waste piece of moulding during the cut cycle. Should this become heavily worn you will notice a reduction in cut quality.
They are easily replaced with just one screw holding them in, just ensure that the new one is flush with the top cutting plates and so not lifting the moulding.
